Worum geht es?
Kunst & Klima: Personen in einer Welt von Objekten
Menschen entwerfen und gestalten Welten und Systeme immer wieder neu. Von den Rechtswissenschaften über die Technologie bis hin zur Spiritualität – die Art und Weise, wie wir unsere Welt gestalten, bestimmt, wie wir sie erleben oder ertragen. Kann Kultur uns dabei helfen, diese Systeme so umzugestalten, dass planetarisches Gleichgewicht und Umweltgerechtigkeit im Mittelpunkt stehen? Auf der Grundlage ihrer Erfahrungen im Bereich Kunst und Ökologie stellt die Kuratorin Lucia Pietroiusti Überlegungen dazu an, wie alternative ökologische Visionen und Systeme durch Poetik, Kunst und Kultur entstehen können – und welche Institutionen neu ausgerichtet werden können, um diese zu fördern.
Wer ist unser Gast?
· Die Kuratorin Lucia Pietroiusti arbeitet an der Schnittstelle von Kunst, Ökologie und Systemen. Sie ist die Gründerin von General Ecology an der Londoner Serpentine Gallery und die Kuratorin von Sun & Sea (Litauischer Pavillon, Biennale Venedig 2019), der 8. Biennale Gherdeïna und von The Shape of a Circle in the Mind of a Fish (beide mit Filipa Ramos).

What is it about?
Art & Climate: Being Persons in a World of Objects
Humans design and redesign worlds and systems all the time. From law, to technology, all the way to spirituality, the way we shape our world determines how we then experience or endure it. Can culture help us redesign these systems with our more-than-human companions at their heart? Drawing from her experience in art and ecology, curator Lucia Pietroiusti will share reflections on ways in which alternative visions and systems may emerge through poetics, art and culture – and what institutions can be re-focused to support these.
Who’s our guest?
· Curator Lucia Pietroiusti works at the intersection of art, ecology and systems. She is the founder of General Ecology at Serpentine, London, and the curator of Sun & Sea (Lithuanian Pavilion, 2019 Venice Biennale), 8th Biennale Gherdeïna and The Shape of a Circle in the Mind of a Fish (both with Filipa Ramos).
